Used twice and then broke. It's clear.

Used TWICE and then broke. The clear part of the gravel siphon has lost its seal to the blue part it connects to. I give it two stars because I can use the detachable part of the hose as a useless siphon ha.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It does the job. However, if you have.

Work. However, if you have a very small tank, you may have trouble getting it to work. You have to submerge it completely under water for it to work. My 2.5 liter tank is almost too small. In fact, my husband cut off two inches of it. But he does what he says. Not much, but I didn't pay that much for it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Don't remember

Works well.: Gravel Cleaners

Just received today. It worked perfectly, after that there was no more gravel in the bucket. I'm glad I bought it for my five gallons but I wouldn't use it for a smaller tank like it says you can. Buy a tiny airline whistle, make your own or it will draw too much water too quickly. Plus, self-launching was easy. For the little ones, I always use a syringe that has to be pulled back to suck, but it's not suitable for that.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Fair

Is working! A very simple and elegant solution for tank cleaning!

LOVE this product! It's great for our 5 and 2.5 gallon tanks. My only complaint is that I feel like it's 1 inch too long for our tanks, but that's only a minor issue when the siphon is running. Pro Tip: Adjust the height of the dispensing bin to adjust the flow/suction speed. If you want it to suck slower, raise the bucket/end of the outlet hose.

Best for large tanks

It's probably my fault for not buying a mini gravel cleaner and the name "slim jr." leads you to think it's for smaller tanks. I had a 2 gallon betta tank and when you had the vacuum function on it (which required you to pump it up and down like an idiot for a while to get it working) half the water was in the tank consumed. . So if you have a Betta aquarium, buy something smaller - I'd say it's for 7-10 gallon tanks.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative impression

Almost no suction power; Water flows like a dripping faucet

Terrible product. I'd rather buy a pupmp gravel vacuum or an electronic one with C batteries. No matter how hard you pump this vacuum up and down, the water still flows as if you forgot to turn off the faucet at the sink and there's barely a little stream . It had almost no suction, so the dirt at the bottom of the tank just reached the bottom of the tank, contaminating the water. I would invest in a better product next time. I think you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not fashionable
