Well packaged. All parts were packed separately, so no scratches. The first thing that struck me is that it's very light, flimsy indeed, but when I put everything together it turned out to be very durable. I put tons of books on it that I wanted to display and it looks very nice and organized. Easy to assemble. Easy to clean. I only give 4 stars because of the wrong size. Apart from one assembly error, assembly was fairly easy. The instructions were all descriptive and one dimensional so I flipped a piece first and had to take apart a few shelves to fix it. One of the sides was bent so it was difficult to connect this part but it worked. I live in an old house with no straight floors anywhere so it would be nice if the legs were adjustable but since I took it for closet storage I just put some spacers underneath. When assembling you can see small details that indicate that this is not the prettiest shelf; but when everything is set up and filled, it looks very nice! It is very easy and intuitive to set up. I purchased a five tier Legacy Decor shelving unit as a personal "cool item" with the best of the best I have ever reviewed from Revain. I wanted a shelving system that didn't look like a garage but didn't look too fancy either. I did a lot of research on Revain to find the perfect shelf at the perfect price, size and capacity. This shelf is incredibly light, easy to assemble and the perfect size with easy access to everything I need. I hope you enjoy it. It was incredibly easy to put together.
