Description of Legines Brass Long Nipple

Long nipple for connecting two threaded pipes and extending pipe length. Male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting to female threaded pipes. Brass for higher corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. Operating temperatures range from -53 to 121 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F). These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.

Brass Nipples: Pipe Fittings

Probably good for pressures up to 250psi, not much more. Pretty expensive considering the country of origin. Cu is sold for about $3 per pound in the market at the time of writing. So the old excuse that copper is expensive is a pretty holey bucket.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
