LEICA Leica TL2 Black Bundle W/Vario-Elmar 18-56Mm (19157) Review

This camera represents the evolution of Leica's historic technology fused with the evolution of digital photography. I find it a pity that it doesn't seem to find wider acceptance. It is truly a work of art, visual excellence and innovative design. It definitely allows me to focus on my photographic subjects. This is the first camera I've found that makes it easy for me to capture what I see.

As a camera with a smaller sensor frame, it feels smaller in every way. The menu system, while customizable, was still complex. The manual focus sharpness indicator used with Leica M manual focus lenses sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The body was too small when used with large lenses, making control of the entire mechanism, camera and lens cumbersome. Sometimes the options seemed to work and sometimes they didn't. After a delay with T and TL I finally pulled the TL2 trigger. Now the camera can be used in practice and the image quality is really excellent. I like the modern "iPhone" camera. Now the reasons for the missing 2 stars! The TL lens does not have a lens cap lanyard despite the slot in the cap. It's hard to imagine how to get the string, but it took me several months. Second, after 6 months, the beautiful touchscreen starts to lose its anti-reflective coating. The Leica shop advised me to put on…
