Lenovo ThinkPad Docking Station 40AJ0135US Review

I am using this with an external TCL 4K@60Hz TV with HDR via the HDMI 2.0 port on the docking station. This is a great feature because the internal HDMI port on the X1 Carbon Gen 7 is only HDMI 1.4. The docking station's HDMI looks like DisplayPort Alternate Mode over Thunderbolt 3, so it's not limited to the laptop's actual HDMI hardware. I use this dock every day at work and dock/undock several times a day. I haven't found any problem with the mechanism itself; It's a little finicky, but after about 30 uses you get the hang of it and I no longer have trouble aligning things. Problems I found: 1. First I wrote a very positive review of this dock; However, the USB ports failed twice after a month of use. This happens when I take the laptop out, use it as a laptop, and put it back in - at this point the USB ports on the dock itself can't connect my keyboard or mouse. I ordered this docking station for my work laptop just over a month ago. Out of the box it worked great. I have two monitors connected, one via HDMI and the other via DP.
