Great Bargain - Full Shelves

Really impressive product for the price. I'm having a hard time finding the benefits of my three CF Gitzos over this one. In terms of quality, it is in no way inferior to Gtizo and RRS. The Gitzo has a slight advantage in torsional stiffness for the same leg diameter, but it's not much. This tripod sits between my 3 Series Gitzo System and my 1 Series Climber as a heavy duty travel tripod. The only thing that bothers me about these legs is the weight of the tripod legs. Of 1400 grams, 126 grams

Good value for money.

First I use a very heavy bow metal tripod with a very strong and durable head. I knew there would be some trade-offs from this to a CF tripod, but I have a few issues that I didn't think I needed to address. Overall this CF tripod looks pretty good, everything feels pretty tight and there is no play in the joints. The lifting mechanism to adjust the leg angle is a little PITA to pull out at times if you already have the camera installed. I don't like that there is no "quick release" for the…

Good rigidity but not very smooth operation

I bought this tripod to use as a travel tripod for which it's a little bulky but handy and really very strong and stable but overall not as impressive as expected after reading all the raving reviews. The loops on the legs are very tight, so very little muscle power is required to open them. The twist lock operation and leg extension is very exciting, the legs definitely don't just slip out, they have to be pulled. Some other similarly priced Chinese-made tripods fare much better, but it's hard

Versatility and Functionality

First off, this is a lightweight, sturdy tripod with intuitive features that changed the way I use tripods. It holds 500c with Sonnar 150mm (front heavy) with no slip issues. Also set up a Nikon d800 with an Otis 28mm lens (no tripod mount on the lens) and get no motion. Same goes for the Nikon 70-200 (which has a tripod ring so is more balanced but still not too much for this tripod. The tripod mounting plate is a rectangle with a mounting screw channel running the length of the rectangle…

Genuine travel tripod for DSLR

This review is for LS-324C legs complete with LH-40 ball head and center column. For context, I'm using a full-size professional SLR (Canon 1D series). ) with various heavy lenses. Full Size Tripod Issue: -------------------------------------------------------- - -------- ---- ------- A tripod should keep your camera steady - a tripod is most useful if it can hold your camera at least at eye level, preferably above that level (um to deal with inclined surfaces). a tripod that does these jobs is
