Drilling a 3" hole in a table isn't easy. Once you do that, you'll realize it really needs to be a little bigger. You can fix this with a rough sanding roller. As mentioned in another review, the RJ-45 cable and plug are of poor quality, but you can replace them with good quality RJ-45 keystone and a short cable. Then you are in business. Used IKEA table cover. The outlet was easy to install: I made a 3 inch hole, lowered the outlet into it, tightened the screw from underneath, plugged it into the existing outlet and. voila! Socket, I only use the ones in the table. The USB charging station works great too. Charged my Samsung Galaxy S8+ cell phone with it without any problems.

Used for a router shelf. My router is on a shelf away from the TV because the TV's steel back is blocking WiFi. That being said, I've used this to clean the cables and it worked great for that. The bad thing is that the router's power adapter is so big that it blocks the Ethernet port in the wall outlet. I believe this will be the case with any transformer plug. Also, it works great, I bought an adapter to move the transformer away from the outlet and it should work fine.

Brought it for an exchange, I had the same problem on the second one. I was very annoyed when I cut a big hole in my new desk just for this product. Item arrived on time and appears to be a good item. However, the ethernet port was not working. Returned it and got another one that also didn't have a working ethernet port (returned for a refund). USB and power worked. The hole size is odd, you will have a hard time finding a 3 and 1/32 hole saw. I had to clean the last 1/32 inch. The hole looked ugly and required more work than was necessary. The seller seems to be responsible, but I suspect they know that the ethernet ports are not properly
