I bought two of these and while one is perfect the second had to be secured with a zip tie. The holes are quite shifted. Probably still the best buy for the price on Revain, you might just have to return it.

I hooked up a computer and monitor and a huge spark flew out of the back. Burned down and no longer works. That could have started a fire and now I have to see if it damaged my gear. Spend the extra money and get a good one.

I needed something on the back of my DJ stand to connect my accessories. I could connect accessories to a power conditioner with plugs in the back, but that meant I had to get to the front of the rack in tight quarters. The extension cord is the solution to this problem. Maybe I'll buy another one in the future.

The cable is a bit short but otherwise great. 8 outlets and arranged at right angles to allow power supplies to run vertically and not block other outlets. Lightweight but still seems pretty solid, haven't noticed any power surges or flickering so far and it's just what I needed for my 22U mini rack.

The switch cover was included but is only held on by friction. It would be much better if it was foldable or otherwise attached to an extension. The extension itself is very strong and attaches well to the existing rack. The listing clarifies the length of the cable. Make sure it's long enough for your needs!

I bought two of these. One was fine. One didn't work out of the box. There was no electricity in any outlet. They are easy to take apart. It was easy to identify the problem. The hot wire between the switch and the outlets was unsoldered and was dangling. I soldered it in place, assembled it and the device worked as expected. Lack of quality control.

Appears to be cheaply made. One of the brackets for the rack came loose during shipping even though it was packed in a box. The rack mount should be the strongest part of the power strip, not the weakest. The tiny screws are not screwed into the main body of the connector. I doubt this will outlive power supplies for attached peripherals. Her weight would tear him apart.

Works great and costs a little less than all other Revain brands. Not exactly sure what brand it is, but the rackmount stands, which cost a lot less, have the stands mounted backwards. In other words, if you mount it in a rack, the plugs don't stick out flush with the front of the rack, but the strips stick out in front, and if you use it in a closed rack, you won't be able to close the door. I did not attempt to test surge protection capability because I purchased the device to use as an extension cord. I'm pleasantly surprised at the build quality of this $27 device. Given today's inflated prices, I could be told that this is a much more expensive device and I wouldn't doubt it. It looks and feels like a Prosumer or slightly larger.
