I'm writing this review on January 3, 2022 and I'm working on a 14-inch Macbook Pro with an M1x Max chip and macOS 12.2 Beta (i.e. Monterey). THIS MONITOR DOES NOT WORK AT FULL RESOLUTION and this cannot be changed. The highest you can do is 3440 x 1400 at 60Hz, which is unacceptably blurry. The width of the monitor listed here is 38.7 inches, actually it is 32.25 inches. Otherwise this monitor is great. Works great over FireWire from my Mac Studio. Very happy with the sharpness.

Had this monitor run for about a week before it started pixeling (half the pixels on the screen are just kind of deaf, not dead, just faint) and especially the blacks on the screen would just flicker like crazy. It will stop after a while, but no amount of cables, different output computers or cables will solve the problem. It fits perfectly on my desk, very thin, good stand that doesn't take up much space. The stand can be extended up and down and is vertically adjustable. The ONLY thing I'd like to see is the ability to rotate 180 degrees, but I'd still buy it!

This is undoubtedly a great monitor. The picture quality is excellent. The pain occurs when I start my Mac Mini in the morning and it takes about 15 minutes to turn on the monitor and turn off the Mac Mini several times before the operating system shows up on the monitor. The LG 34BK95U-W / LG 34WK95U-W works great as a non-HDR ultrawide display. It doesn't work as an HDR monitor. At the moment, HDR actually degrades the monitor's color reproduction and reduces the resolution. HDR actually looks bad compared to using it as a standard 5120 x 2160 ultrawide display. I bought this LG monitor over a year ago and use it for work and music related applications (Logic Pro X). Visually, the screen is great, but it introduces digital noise that I can't get rid of. I connected the monitor to the CaDigit TS3 Plus and even swapped it, but the noise is definitely coming from the LG monitor. The monitor looks great. It is not my problem. Long story short, the thing is, this thing has built-in speakers BUT it doesn't have a microphone, so for video/or just conference calls you'll need to buy a camera and/or microphone combo. To top it off, VOLUME can only be controlled from the monitor menu, accessed via the joystick below the monitor screen, not even from the matchbox itself. And they don't have a remote control.
