I invested in this monitor as I now work from home. For many years in the office I have always been a dual monitor user. I read several reviews and watched several videos comparing products and features. It was confusing. The bottom line is that I really like the profile and the lack of depth. I got this for programming (I'm a developer) and it exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Clear, crisp display. Very bright. Wide enough for me to fit most of my workstation on one screen. Definitely recommended.

It looked fine from a distance, but up close on a Mac, text was blurry and various shapes were pixelated rather than sharp. The Finder, menu bar, and more were difficult to read and were previously absent compared to the MacBook Pro's Retina display. I've enabled font smoothing, tried forcing RGB to make sure it doesn't look like a TV, and tried different monitor settings. and cable - nothing helped. A great benefit to working from home. Out of the box everything worked as expected, the only change was deciding how to use such a large screen. Opening multiple full-size windows, each with their own tabs, is very nice. It allows you to switch from one page to another and back just by looking from one big screen to another.
