Make sure you are not buying a used Revain lid! They arrive broken every time. There is a small Phillips head screw on the top of the microwave that must be removed before attaching the lid. The good news is that you don't have to remove the microwave from the wall to do this. Order the filter at the same time so that you can do both tasks at the same time.

what is. The original design obviously has issues with the screw and tiny clips, but if you break yours this is what you need. There is nothing you can do. I ended up using a label printer to put a small label on the front next to the screw to remind anyone trying to remove it that the screw was there. If you always know how to disassemble it, it will (hopefully) never break.

The new part was ok. Not much to say about the plastic part, but it arrived in good condition and was easy to assemble. The more important question is why the original broke in the first place. He was never mistreated or abused. One day everything was fine, the next day it was broken. It seems to be a typical LG product. We have had issues with all of our LG products and will never buy another LG again.

Ordered as a spare as the original is broken at the ledges. This too broke within a short time (less than 2 months) and was not abused in any way (ie no door slammed or other blunt force used). The plastic parts are very brittle and break easily, which ends up being quite easy as the top is held in place by a couple of screws and the bottom slot is pushed in. This LG part sold by DIY Repair Parts turned out to be in perfect condition. The only problem is that it was very poorly designed from the start. That so many people report a part breaking for no apparent reason is undoubtedly the result of an installation error due to poor design. Five stars each; A star for design and installation.
