Description of LIBERATOR Highly Conductive Thread Textiles

This highly conductive thread (1 Ohm/ft) is made of a polymer inner layer surrounded by a metal outer layer, roughly 10 times more conductive than 100% stainless steel thread. This thread is easily sewn, soldered, and embroidered. The inner polymer yarn has an extremely high tensile strength, roughly 5 times stronger than steel, and remains flexible like regular thread. Superb conductive/metal layer adhesion to the inner polymer thread. This is an E-textiles grade material and is not suitable for use in Aerospace.

It's amazing how tiny conductive threads can be these days

The dozens of tiny threads that make up this 'cotton' are all conductive. It went through the little needle eye quite well and certainly provided good conductivity when I sewed some conductive fabrics with silver. It tends to twist into knots, but the learned loops should remain steady.

Pros
  • Beautiful design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
