Disappointing Paperweight for Science Education

This specimen paperweight may seem like a good buy for your classroom, but don't be fooled. As my tests showed, the specimens were poorly preserved and looked like they had been thrown into the container haphazardly. the labeled identifiers were also illegible and unprofessional. While it may be categorized IN Industrial and Scientific, it doesn't meet the standards of quality required for real scientific use..

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Poor preservation and labeling

Educational and Aesthetically Pleasing Paperweight

I recently purchased a paperweight with various specimens for my desk at work.My analysis of this product showed that its a fantastic way to have a little bit of nature in my industrial and scientific environment. The specimens included in the paperweight are beautiful and educational. It's not too heavy to move around and I find myself lifting it up to examine the different pieces often. The only con is that the specimens may not be identifiable without additional research or knowledge…

Pros
  • Educational, Aesthetically pleasing
Cons
  • Specimens not easily identifiable

When the kids visit the farm this fall we will be using this life cycle educational pack. Flies are a plague that we fight with parasitic wasps. Can you have them in an acrylic block too!? Surely children will be impressed when they hold real bugs in their hands. This visual aid makes it easy to explain the life cycle.

Pros
  • Topic: Housefly Life Cycle (Includes: Manual)
Cons
  • Great Price
