The lamp was fixed to the wall and its base was the same size as the previous lamp, broken by the painters. There is more than enough light for the corridor. There are no problems with the brightness. I chose the warm white variant.

Order 4 of these lights for my stairs. They are very bright and, as the description says, cannot be dimmed. The first light stopped working after about 2 weeks. Then the second light began to flicker as if it was about to fail. Not behind those lights. Although they look beautiful, they are short-lived. Spend the extra money on a better product.

Good looking! We installed them horizontally. not vertical. The only problem is that the size of the box, which is meant to cover a standard sized single socket, is smaller than the size of the gang. Thus part of the opening in the wall is at the bottom. So my contractor had to do extra work to cover it up. This would be unnecessary work, especially if you want to replace.

I wanted to outfit something for a small space (my office) where there was no wiring for the lights, so I installed this with a remote switch and surface wiring and mounted it on the wall above the door. It actually looks very nice. I was worried it would be very dim or blindingly bright, but it's actually the perfect amount of light for me, and it's a nice, warm light - not at all harsh. A little tricky to install but worth it. I would buy it again.

Surprisingly, some people say the light isn't bright enough. This light is BRIGHT and it is a hard white light. The square box on the back of the light is exactly the size shown in the details (4.72" square) and your junction box should be flush with the surface of the drywall. I'm not an electrician, but I've never installed a light fixture that I don't need for some remodeling. For all those electricians who have complained about this, you either need to go back to school or find another job.
