Not a bad accessory

Judging price=quality, I agree that it's not a bad adapter. Basically after a few months of use I started to lose connection, probably because the contacts are a little broken. But as a quick purchase option, I recommend it.

Pros
  • cheap price
Cons
  • low quality

Not as fragile as other adapters

I recently bought a small adapter that matched a simple plug. It worked well but was very fragile. It was very hot while working. Thought I might have broken it a few times when I first tested it. It survived the first day, but I was sure it wouldn't last very long. That's why I bought this USB adapter as it was very similar to every other adapter designed by Apple. I found it strong, not brittle or hot. That works great. I recommend it

Be prepared when contacting Apple about warranty issues

Everything worked as expected for almost 6 months and then suddenly stopped. I used it to connect my iPhone to my headphone amp. A little troubleshooting fixed every other component as the culprit. First, the Apple rep said they would not honor the warranty because I had used the product in a way that was inconsistent with its design. He asked if I had a camera to plug my broken connector into. I guess he was hoping to do some troubleshooting himself. It took some perseverance and patience, but
