Everything worked as expected for almost 6 months and then suddenly stopped. I used it to connect my iPhone to my headphone amp. A little troubleshooting fixed every other component as the culprit. First, the Apple rep said they would not honor the warranty because I had used the product in a way that was inconsistent with its design. He asked if I had a camera to plug my broken connector into. I guess he was hoping to do some troubleshooting himself. It took some perseverance and patience, but in the end he agreed that the problem was with the connector and not with any components or other connectors. He said he would send me a new plug free of charge and all I had to do was send him the broken plug in the box with the new one. Not such a bad experience. However, I was put off by how quickly he tried to prove to me that he had voided the warranty. The new connector is expected to arrive this Thursday. 2 stars for a defective product and weak warranty protection.
