Secure and Comfortable Thumb Stabilization

My thumb was badly sprained with damaged ligaments and needed good lower joint stabilization to heal. I've tried four splints/thumb braces and this one was MUCH better. Very easy to put on and take off and very easy to adjust. High quality. It completely immobilizes my thumb but is comfortable and not bulky. If you need solid thumb stabilization this is the perfect product.

I bought it after reading the reviews before buying.

After reading the reviews before buying, I bought sml/med. But I wish it was a size bigger. Small/Medium is a bit uncomfortable on the wrist. I think the Med/Lrg will fit most people as it can be adjusted to fit your wrist. Since I wrote the above review the seller has contacted me and I have to say they have GREAT customer service. If I ever need their products. again I would not hesitate to buy from them.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Best for tendonitis or thumb release

Finally one that actually works as advertised. We bought two others whose photos and reviews seemed to do the job. One was very uncomfortable and not durable. the second was of good quality but allowed too much movement and kept slipping out of position. This one fits perfectly, is more comfortable and we will be ordering another one so we can switch for the day and the other for the night. Update: the second is just as good as the first. The first has no signs of wear yet.

This stand is perfect. My thumb is completely closed and the position .

I tore a ligament in the upper thumb joint. I was looking for a brace that would fit high enough on the thumb to not bend the top of the thumb. This stand is perfect. My thumb is fully enclosed and the position of my thumb is fully adjustable (tight or loose). I have tried others that were too tight for my thumb or the metal bar was too hard for my sore and injured thumb. This brace is comfortable and allows me to rest my ligaments so hopefully they heal!

Excellent fit and easy donning

Ideal for small hands. I had a larger font that went up 1/4 of my hand and didn't give me enough finger function. This smaller type gives me freedom of movement for my fingers, is comfortable and not heavy. I don't know why others write that it's hard to put on. Place the brace horizontally with your thumb in the slot and tighten the Velcro, then do the same with the wrist. The third strap runs through the palm and attaches to the upper arm with Velcro. Easy to put on and easy to take off…

Not for De Quervains

I have De Quervains. This hairpin is terrible. my hand is numb I tried using it and I kept sleeping in it. I woke up four times in the middle of the night in excruciating pain. I ended up pulling it out of my hands. I couldn't take it anymore. I have a larger cast-like splint that I will continue to use. I was hoping this splint would work because it's smaller, but I don't think this splint will stabilize my thumb well enough. This thumb brace can be used for whatever you need it for, but if…

Well made thumb splint

Like the other reviews I have a deviated thumb joint, surgery is imminent. It gives me support and relief in some activities. I can't use it for cycling, weightlifting, cooking or washing dishes. But walking the dogs, digging a shovel, a wheelbarrow, packing things - all this is useful. Or whenever you simply want to protect it from shock or rest. Many attachment options with Velcro for maximum support and comfort. Don't forget when you find the best strap that you can mold around your hand to…

Cons

Support costs a few bucks, though.

A bit clunky. It has a built in metal brace to prevent your thumb from moving too often. When you put the watch on, you need to adjust it to your hand, which makes it difficult to wear the watch comfortably. The Velcro around the thumb irritates the underside of the thumb. I have a 7 inch wrist and bought a large/XL and it fits. I get support and have tried wearing it to work but it's uncomfortable because I have to wear gloves to work with hoses and chemicals. I also tried wearing it all night
