Excellent toolset, great support & constant improvements

Linkerd has been very easy for us to use in our microservice architecture. It's simple enough for new developers to get started with but powerful enough for more experienced engineers who are familiar with network programming. The built-in metrics make it really easy to understand where things stand as far as performance goes. We haven't found anything we dislike about Linkerds capabilities so far. They have an excellent team of experts behind them and they continue to improve their product…

  • Easy integration within kubernetes cluster (kubernetes) which helps managing docker containers across infrastructure easily!

Easy and fast way to get started quickly even if coming fresh

I like how easy it was for me as an engineer with no previous experience in distributed systems or microservices/containers (at least not at this level) - just docker compose up my stack of services using their example templates! The only downside so far has been figuring out what all these different tools do exactly when you're new into them but once figured things are great :) Really enjoyed working through each step together during our first sprints where we were building some simple…

  • Super fast start times because setup is really quick compared e g Pulsar.
  • Extremely flexible configuration system allowing almost anything that could possibly work via yaml files alone while keeping simplicity high

Excellent tool, gets rid off all manual checks!!

The most important thing about LinkerD is its ease of use. I was able to set it up in minutes without any prior experience with LinkerD. It does exactly what it says on the tin - it's a transparent proxy for micro services which allows you to easily monitor and control your application from one place! There are very few downsides - the documentation could be more detailed (it's quite short), but there is a good community around who can help you out if needed. We've used LinkerD at work for…
