Ordered to replace a broken existing guard. The downside to the design is that the guardrail has a free-moving hinged end, but a flat end that needs to be nailed to the trailer's I-beam. Because this flat end is bolted directly to the trailer frame, it cannot "float". This causes the flat end side to flex back and forth as the slider moves in and out - until the protective material breaks. (I suspect this was the problem that caused the original guard to break.) This item is a direct replacement for the original and as another review says I had to cut each of the loops to get the wires through but then all I had to do was tie them together between the wires.
