Works great for spark plug and ignition tools

Worked like a champ. I really thought I screwed up my new alternator. I hacked it via You Tube user manual. I unscrewed the spark plug, filled in the oil conditioner and immediately twisted the spark plug. I was browsing the internet and suggested trying this little device. I followed the instructions and plugged it into the outlet the first time I tried it. For its weight in gold!

the right tool for the job

This tool was needed to repair a damaged spark plug thread on a lawnmower. I got it because it fit the ratchet and opened the spark plug, the hole that was recessed between the muffler and the valve cover snapped into place. I found this to be better than the double sided lisle hole for my application. I have been happy with the Lisle products and this US made one was not. It won't disappoint me. Use an anti-seize or lubricant as directed in the instructions to catch the metal parts.

Perfect fit for my Porsche's stubborn 3 cylinder

So after receiving my Porsche 924S I set about "zeroing" the car. Spark plugs, fluids, etc. My third cylinder refused to tighten a new spark plug and I was reluctant to force the issue. I have this thread cutter, 14mm x 1.25, and after filling the grooves with anti-seize I screwed it in and pulled it out of the head. gold mine. This kid removed a bunch of old oxidized aluminum and carbon and my new NGKs screwed in perfectly. Great tool, I recommend 10000%. Hats off, Lyle.

Tap it good good for spark plugs and ignition tools

Works like a champ. Before use, make sure the threads are lubricated with grease or lube if your head is on the crankcase. Used mine on my Chevy 454 with an Edelbrock aluminum head mounted. We looked in the cylinder afterwards and we have no chips. As you can see from the pictures the flutes catch chips well while you fill the tap with grease or anti-seize. Images in two passes with one tap. For me it was a new used set of sockets, something clogged one of the spark plug holes. This tool savedโ€ฆ

Pawl retaining slots too small for snap-on extensions

When working to remove spark plugs deep in the engine I use snap-on pendulum extensions so I don't lose the spark plug sockets. I have to chase a thread from time to time but unfortunately none of my lock extensions work with this chaser, it looks like the retention cuts are a bit shallow. All of my non-blocking extensions work fine, so I think I can use the tape for extra security. So if you want a good American thread tap that's great, just annoying my snap-on locking extensions don't workโ€ฆ

Does the Job: Spark Plug and Ignition Tools

I had a pair of spark plugs that I couldn't get my fingers out after breaking them off with a wrench. Since they were screwed into aluminum heads, this made me nervous. I smeared it with anti-seize paste, wound it up with my fingers and pierced it with a wrench (after being absolutely sure that the threads were not twisted). He removed the charcoal and some of the aluminum filings. I was able to easily thread the new spark plugs all the way in by hand, using a wrench for just the last 1/4 turn.

I love this hunter! best spark plug and ignition tools

I love this thread finder tool. It's designed to fit a 3/8" clutch flat. Ratchet head. It's about the size of a spark plug so will naturally fit into the narrow bezels you would normally find on that spark plug. If you have a swivel head extension and use either a short 3/8" ratchet or 1/4" to 3/8". adapter, you can easily work in the tightest of spaces. A few tips: remember to always start the tool by hand and rotate it by hand as much as possible. Depending on your engine configuration, youโ€ฆ

Flips on Turtle!

I inherited a Toro z4200 and when I went to change the spark plug it got stuck halfway through the entry. It still worked, but I looked at the old one and realized it was only half. At some point the threads had to be mixed up in there. I looked and they were packed. I don't know what to do, I mean it worked but he should be able to paste completely. Do I have to take this to the workshop? Will there be problems? I didn't want to drill it out and use one of the kits that had to go in to put the
