Don't waste your money on big deals - this is what you need!

Exactly as described and not flimsy as another reviewer states. Very well packaged, the instructions are clear but not really necessary. They offer 4 screw sizes to mount your projector, so that was a bonus. Installation was so easy and it looks amazing in my patio app. I didn't use the center post, I attached the ceiling mount directly to the bracket, it's the perfect ceiling mount!

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Decent mount: Projector mounts

Overall a good projector mount. My projector only needed 3 brackets out of 4 so I removed one. Also, it still measures around 15 inches when fully compressed, which was way too big for my particular layout. So I took out my dremel and made it a little shorter. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the only thing inside is held in place by a single screw with a rubber element. If it breaks, disaster threatens. In my resizing project, I also screwed it together to eliminate this risk.

I would describe the paint quality as good to very good

For the price - you really can't go wrong with this mount. I've invested thousands of dollars in my home theater so I was reluctant to use such a cheap mount, but big brands seemed overpriced, a la TV wall mounts. Materials and construction are average, I would describe the paint quality as good to very good. Now that it's mounted to a 10ft ceiling and finished it looks very nice, including the ability to hide the cords in the hollow tube. As long as you put it together very well (tighten the…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Very expensive

Decent for the price

I have a ViewSonic PJD5134 and the top screw installation was a bit odd, it has three holes and the installation is a bit optimized for four. Everything was good, although otherwise it was a fairly simple and easy install. Everything was in the box to install and I installed it on the ceiling in about 30 minutes. he wanted to lean up and I had to balance him. No matter how hard I tightened the screws or did anything else, he still wanted to lean. I was able to get it to work and it didn't tilt,

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • weak

Movie Time Best Accessories & Consumables

I bought an Optoma HD142X projector which I wanted to mount on the ceiling in my living room. After looking at Revain I settled on this mount from Loctek. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The only reason I hesitate to give the product 5 stars is that installing the projector was quite a challenge. I'm explaining here that I'm not an engineer and it was a Rubik's Cube for me to figure out how to position my hands correctly to hold the projector on the plate to mount the projector on the…

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Upgradeable

If your projector's mounting screw holes are close together (e.g. less than 6 inches), it will be very difficult to mount to the projector as the brackets have to bridge a negative distance from the screen of the limit, to which the arms are attached. The instructions also state that the mount is only suitable for "cement" and "bolt" mounts. However, very few of us have "cement" ceilings unless they mean drywall and not cement. As for "studs" attachment, the studs are usually 2" x 4" and 2" is…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Decent mount, great price, needs some work.

I bought this for an Epson home theater projector. Pros: 1. It's white so it matches my blanket better.2. You can route cables in the mount's "shaft" for a cleaner look3. It has many up/down/side/angle adjustments to position the projector properly. Cons: 1. My biggest issue was that the mount wasn't big enough to hold my projector so I had to dig out some small steel rails to make it work2. The adjustments are difficult. I had to do some crazy things to make the thing stay in place long enough

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Doubtful
