The Lodge casserole with enamelled cast iron lid does not disappoint!

OK, I got this casserole instead of LC. I've wanted an LC for a long time, but they were prohibitively expensive. So, after a long research, I decided on the Lodge enamelled cast iron pan with lid. I cooked chicken in a casserole and immediately realized that the chicken was delicious. The chicken was carefully prepared and it was so tender and juicy! The cleaning went well too. I am very satisfied and recommend it to everyone! It's nice to have such a high quality product at an affordable…

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Defects present

I received the enamelled cast iron pan with lid today, but I am sending it back. The blue enamel was completely chipped on one side of the pan, the enamel had broken off in bits and pieces in the packaging. The packaging itself was intact, so it wasn't a clear packaging accident, although the pan's coating had peeled off. I don't reorder. I read other bad reviews about the coating on this pan before ordering but ignored them because I have another Lodge pan (Dutch Oven) which is great. I can…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Long time Le Creuset owner here and very happy with this product

Long time Le Creuset owner here and very happy with this product. When we decided it was time to own a brazier we naturally shopped at Le Creuset, but looking through the reviews I stumbled across the Lodge. I have some traditional Cast Iron Lodge pots and pans so I figured why not try it (almost 1/4 the price). I have made. Ours was perfect, no flaws and I prefer the lodge finish. One difference from Le Creuset is that the handle requires an oven mitt, but who would take a handle out of the…

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Exchange possible

I have several LeCreuset and Staub pans and this one works just as well as both but costs a lot less. I particularly like that this pot has a lid like the others. If you're looking for an enamelled cast iron pan, you can't go wrong with this pan. UPDATE 9/14/18: I've used this pan a few times since purchasing it and am very happy with it. At first I was concerned that the cream interior would discolour over time. That didn't happen. This pan is very easy to clean no matter what I cook in it…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Working speed

He's very heavy. Too heavy for an everyday frying pan.

I was hesitant to buy this pan even though I liked it. Like size and shape needs to switch to anodized aluminum with non-stick coating. I've never used a lodge on anything other than plain cast iron. I know it's a "good" brand. But mostly I have Le Creuset pots and other types of baking pans and they are great. (I only buy when there is a big sale.) The price was attractive, especially when it dropped $20 when I was hesitant about trying it or not. Reviews of chipping and lack of durability…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

This pan has become my workhorse.

I bought this with a 4.5 liter Lodge Holland oven and found I used it a lot more often than the Holland oven - three times a week both on the stovetop and in the oven. The pan arrived in perfect condition, no chips or dents on the enamel. The surface is structured, not mirror-smooth, which does not affect the quality of the food prepared or the ease of cleaning. I always oil the entire interior before adding vegetable oil and wait for the pan to cool completely before cleaning, and everything…

Pros
  • The Lodge Enamel Baking Dish is the perfect tool for marinating, chilling, cooking and serving.
Cons
  • Something is wrong

The best cookware you will ever have

Works like a charm - doesn't burn but roasts whatever you want to roast. Boiling and steaming are instantaneous. Just a knob of butter will fry your eggs exactly how you want them. Suitable for roast chicken steak, Brussels sprouts, rice, corn, ribs, onions and finish cooking in the oven when needed. Potatoes are quickly fried to a crispy crust! Cleaning is a dream - a little soaking can help, and it cleans up easily with a soft sponge rather than steel wool. There are no metal blades either…

Pros
  • Matt black enamelled edges, cream colored hob. Stainless steel handle.
Cons
  • Not bad

Difficult start, but great result!

The first covered pot I received had a bulge on the bottom and didn't fit on the stove. I called the lodge to see if it was ok and was told to sit down and recommended bringing her back. The second casserole I received was perfect! It is excellent as an open or covered pan as well as in a casserole. I washed it thoroughly and applied a small amount of oil or oil before use. Eggs, potatoes, fried potatoes, caramelized onions, etc. cook excellently and do not burn. It is excellent for braising…

Pros
  • Dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to keep dishes looking their best.
Cons
  • Crumpled
