Great product for BBQs and outdoor cooking

I'm using my cast iron more and more as I'm getting more comfortable cooking in it which means I want to take care of it as much as possible. . I've had issues with things sticking to it sometimes (spice residue after cooking and cooling) so I needed something to help me scrape it off that wouldn't ruin it. That does the trick! There isn't much to say about that. They seem to be built to last and given the Lodge name I know the quality is there.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Style 90

Thanks, Jeffrey Rogers

I have a large collection of cast iron skillets that I cook in regularly. A few years ago I saw Geoffrey Rogers on youtube who I consider a cast iron expert to use these scrapers and if he recommends anything that might come in handy for the care and maintenance of cast iron pans, you probably do it yourself yourself a favor. consider buying it. I've used them to remove burnt bits of food from pans. They work well and do not damage the coating of your pans in any way.

  • Sturdy construction

Good design, but still difficult to clean

3 stars = fine. Grill pans are very difficult to clean compared to my regular cast iron pans. I've been cooking with cast iron for about 7 years now and finally bit the bullet of a griddle pan. I have some regrets about buying the grill as it is difficult to clean. I thought this tool would help clear the space between the parts of the grill, but it doesn't do the job very well. The scraper works well and I've used it on my regular cast iron skillet and pizza stone. If the scraper didn't work…

Scrapers are great but Norpro is better than Lodge

This is just a pan scraper. (I didn't use a grill scraper.) The scraper is fine, but I also have Norpro pan scrapers and prefer the Norpro. The corners of both the Norpro and Lodge fit my Lodge cookware, but the Norpro is more comfortable to hold and squeeze. I use the scraper not only for my cast iron cookware but also for plates, other pots and pans etc. I bought my first Norpro scraper from the store about five years ago and it still works great. I recently bought a set of Norpro scrapers…

They clean our cast iron pans perfectly

They clean our cast iron pans perfectly. Simply scrape and rinse, wipe with paper towel and re-oil; everything is ready to go. :) One downside I've found with the grooved ones is that they don't quite fit the grill pan I have - the teeth are either too thick or not evenly spaced and so I have to use them at an angle to get them in to scratch the grooves . However, when I looked at my grill pan, I realized that it was not a Lodge brand cast iron grill pan, but a fake - maybe that's why it…

Significant! good for grill scrapers

Why didn't I know about this set? In October I purchased a Lodge Pro-Logic P12SGR3 Pre-Seated Cast Iron Square Grill Pan 12" and was REALLY struggling to remove the burnt bits that were stuck between the ridges of the pan. I had given up using this skillet and was about to donate it to the Salvation Army when I saw this set on the Revain website when I purchased a Lodge L8SK3 10.25" Pre-Treated Cast Iron Skillet earlier this week. I figured this set had a little scraper that would fit in any…

Nice scraper set.

Watch out for discounts, they often drop to around $3 which is about the price they should be and the price I paid. I've only recently started using cast iron and they're pretty cute. I had to learn a hard lesson not to scratch the iron while it was hot. I used a ribbed one with grill grooves at our house that my wife ruined with spices and it was beginning to rust a bit. I greased the pan with oil, heated it, and when it got a little warmer, I started scraping the side grooves with the…

Worth every penny. for outdoor cooking equipment and supplies

Perfect scrapers for my grill pan (Lodge L8SGP3 Pre-seasoned Cast Iron Square Grill Pan 10.5 inch) and pan workhorse (False Cast Iron Pan L10SK3ASHH41B , 12 inch ). The frying pan couldn't be much better. I've used those cheap plastic mixing/glazing spatulas (which are great scrapers for cleaning MANY cookware surfaces, by the way), but the hardness, weight, and shape of the spatula just outshines them. The grill scraper was a little less than perfect. I was hoping for something more forgiving…
