I thought the USB dongle was in the battery compartment of the mouse, but upon closer inspection I found the dongle was in the box. I use this keyboard when I'm lying in bed to just surf the internet and watch movies. It's quiet and the long battery life is a plus. Purchased for use via a hub under the desk that resides in the cable tray. Despite the hub being <3ft away, the connection is very fuzzy.
