It was a good buy. I have one at home and one in the kitchen. I wish they were a little bigger, but they work really well for stubborn sticky foods. Compared to other materials used for this type of pan, they last forever. I only use on cast iron, they scratch stainless steel or aluminum cookware.

The original purpose of my purchase was the intended use on cast iron. Within a week I stopped using steel wool and Brillo pads for other purposes. They are very well made, beautiful and can scrape dirt off any hard surface with little effort. I think I should add a disclaimer. Don't be a fool and use it on a nonstick pan or knife. Also, the loops are too big to use for effective armor, so don't even think about it.

Sometimes when my mother goes to work she doesn't clean her cast iron skillet and it's very difficult to get the dirt out of it. As a kid I knew nothing about cast iron and [please don't kill me] soaked her pan in the sink.
