Looneng Deluxe Airtight Brush Cleaner for Oil Painting - Medium Size Review

This Looneng brush cleaner is half the price of the Da Vinci I bought a few years ago but it works just as well as the Da Vinci. Both products look almost the same and are almost indistinguishable at first glance, except that my old Da Vinci washing machine has paint spattered on the outside. The inner lid seal and outer clips work great when clamped to prevent leaks or spills when transporting the washing machine.

This is my second canister. This time I went a larger size for my larger brushes and to have a second container in case I use a mix of light and dark tones so I can keep my brushes separate. Even with just one can, I was able to easily clean my brushes with mineral spirits (I paint in oil) and had no problems transferring the paint. The canister is also well sealed which keeps my solvents from evaporating when not in use and also safe when transporting solvents.

Generally a good product and works as intended. However, it's smaller than I was hoping for and my 2" brush doesn't clean in it. Also, the removable mesh/basket (which I like and dislike) works well as a mesh and scraper, but doesn't get deep enough in the pot to soak a large 1" brush, or in the pot for a second while you use another brush. Also, I can't completely clean my large brushes because the screen doesn't penetrate deep enough. Such a shallow screen means also that you have to pour a…
