🎣 Enhance Your Depth Findings with Lowrance HST-WSBL TM Skimmer Transducer Review

Converted my HDS 7 to trolling motor and added HDS 8 to console. You need a sensor for a trolling motor. Easy to install and works great.

This item is supplied without bracket, only with a mounting kit. I have ordered this product twice and the mount is still not there. The pictures are misleading as they all show the mount. I had to order the mount separately.

Works great on my boat. Gives consistent depth at 35 mph to about 50 feet. I've ridden over areas where I know the depth and at speed it's safe. I'm not at all worried about carving at a depth of 50 feet because at that moment I know I have plenty of water.

Order received 2 days after ordering but the picture in Revain for the order shows the skimmer mount but it wasn't there and was even shown on the packaging and the instructions require it. This is very misleading as I would never order this if I knew it doesn't have a mount as we need that.

Product works great. I had the HST version many years ago but it was deprecated. I ordered the HS version by mistake and wanted to read the temperature again. The "screw cap" of this unit was larger in diameter. It will not fit in the pre-drilled hole used with the other two connectors. I wasn't ready for such a surprise and didn't have time to redrill the hole. I used smaller bits to shave the inside but I had to grind down the connector to eventually push it through.
