Works with Computer and Accessories Latch

The card works fine and appears as a universal controller in a standard sized case. However, if you buy it to work in a slim body with a smaller adapter, IT WILL NOT FIT. As you can see from the photos you can only use ONE screw and even if you use that screw the bracket is wrong so it pushes the card out of the connector on the board. By placing the card in the connector and then inserting the bracket, you can see how wide the holes are.

Pros
  • 2. Based on the advantages of ASMedia ASM1061SATA III (Serial ATA) HCI controller. Privode2X SATA III 6 Gbit/s ports for PCs and servers.
Cons
  • Nothing here

Works great - causes a slight delay on startup (only 5-10 seconds)

This worked great. I ran out of internal SATA connections on my system and needed to add another basic SATA drive for backup storage. It worked great. The SSD I connected to it is recognized at boot (causes a slight boot delay when powered on) and even allows me to boot from the HDD if needed. The Samsung EVO 860 I connected runs at top speed (500+ MB/s stable) and Windows 10 had no problems detecting the adapter or the SSD after booting. If you need an inexpensive solution to add a few more…

Pros
  • 4. Compatible with Serial ATA Version 3.0. Support SATA III 6Gb/s speed, SATA II 3Gb/s speed, SATA 1 1.5Gb/s speed. The default mode of the PCE-G2S2 has been set to AHCI.
Cons
  • Good but not great

Pros
  • 3. Plug and play support on Windows, MAC OS and Linux systems. AMD, ARM, INTEL and MAC platforms.
Cons
  • Not sure

Does not work properly with ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3

I bought this to add two more SATA 6GB ports to my old PC. Although the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 has four 6GB ports, two of them are controlled by the Marvell controller (which needs to be activated) and various people have noticed that its performance is inferior to the Intel controller on the motherboard. Decided to try a separate PCI card. The card was recognized during POST and the attached SSD identified. Unfortunately this card in the PC caused Win10 to take a very long time to boot (more…

Pros
  • 1. PCE-G2S2 PCIE 2-Port NONE-RAID SATA III 6Gb/s card allows users to add 2 SATA III ports to desktops, servers and NAS systems for Storage expansion HDD/SSD or bootable deployment.
Cons
  • Expandable
