Review on πŸ’» LTERIVER PCE-G2S2 PCI Express Host Controller Card- Plug and Play AHCI Boot Up SATA 3.0- 2-Ports- Windows, MAC, and Linux Compatible by John Carter

Does not work properly with ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3

I bought this to add two more SATA 6GB ports to my old PC. Although the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 has four 6GB ports, two of them are controlled by the Marvell controller (which needs to be activated) and various people have noticed that its performance is inferior to the Intel controller on the motherboard. Decided to try a separate PCI card. The card was recognized during POST and the attached SSD identified. Unfortunately this card in the PC caused Win10 to take a very long time to boot (more than 5 minutes) to login regardless of which PCI slot is used and then not work after login. I have a feeling this card conflicts with the onboard Intel controller. Since I would like to continue using the stable built-in controller, I have to return this card.

Cons
