LuK 01 046 Clutch Set Review

Has a different hole position on the pressure plate and does not fit. Problem. NOT suitable for 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

I was helping a friend's wife when he was away on business! This clutch was perfect for their Jeep Wrangler JKU. 10,000 miles since installation and still on the go despite her horrible driving! He's a cop and tends to be a little tough with clutches. I have always used a LUK clutch in my cars and have been happy with it.

I was very pleased with the quality and performance of this LUK clutch kit. Direct OEM replacement. Supplied with guide and release bearing and new fastening screws. Easy installation and very smooth operation. The original clutch had 100,000 miles on it and was just beginning to rivet so the replacement was timely. That should be enough for another 100,000! I would recommend the LUK clutch kit to anyone looking for a direct OEM replacement.

Used this on my 2007 JK Wrangler 6 speed and it worked great. The kit had everything you need and all the parts were good quality. It even came with new screws which were really good. The installation took about 5 hours. I was able to put the gearing on the exhaust without dropping it completely. Made life a lot easier putting everything back together. The price and everything included in this kit makes it a breeze. The clutch now works wonders and the throwout bearing is quiet.

I haven't installed the kit yet but it looks pretty complete. I wanted to upload a photo, but it wasn't there when I went shopping. I've seen a Centerforce kit, but after driving this thing all over CO with a stock 35 clutch, I saw no reason to spend the extra dough. cheap clutch saves a few bucks but pressure plate springs are too weak, clutch pedal is soft from the start but holds up like new after only a year and about 8000 miles. and doesn't last anymore. you have to be careful how you turn it on or it just slips hard sometimes when you come out of 4bying you just have to step on the gas and let go but you can't it just slips. I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler 4x4, 6 speed manual transmission. A year ago I changed the clutch and installed a new Exedy clutch kit. After 1 year of use, the throwout bearing in its natural state started making noise without releasing the clutch.
