I really like these gloves! So pretty and I got so many compliments. The only problem I had was getting them to stay on their feet - you have to tie them but the rope doesn't stay tied but still not a big problem. They fit just below the elbow and you can loosen or tighten the lacing at the bottom. Highly recommend if you want to add a twist to any costume or night out!

My daughter wore these gloves to the Met Opera this week. She looked sensational in her sequined black evening dress and those beautiful gloves and got loads of compliments! As a former professional seamstress, I was surprised at how well made the gloves were. She donned gloves to a very elegant dinner followed by an opera. After a few days in the suitcase plus seven hours of wearing, they're still in great shape.

So mine came with loose springs, a broken chain and smelled so strongly of perfume. I understand I got a bad pair and probably they used it and returned it? (Why else would it smell like perfume?) I'm not basing my review on that. My rating is based on the fact that they are HUGE. Even if they weren't damaged or smelly, I'd still have to send them back. They were beautiful but very fragile. We lost a pen as soon as we took it out of the box. The chain on the middle finger also broke after the first use. It was easy to fix, but considering we didn't pull the chain at all and it broke, I wonder how many times we'd have to fix it. The feathers have a greenish tint on the inside, but are completely black on the outside, which seemed like they had been turned inside out.
