Nearly perfect! - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I had no idea Apple had removed the ability to port to new Mac Books. This article saved a life! It comes with all the outlets you need to plug everything into your Mac. There is no lag in data transfer or any type of streaming. My only complaint is that my Mac has a protective plastic cover and the port doesn't connect until I remove the bottom cover.

Working but overheating

I've been using it for 2 days and while it's doing what it takes the adapter itself gets really hot. It also makes my Macbook Air very hot which makes it unable to charge. I use this for an 8 hour online class a day and while it works as intended, I don't like the fact that everything gets hot, especially when my Mac is only a month old. I will get it back by continuing to search for a permanent solution.

You can't use this if you have MacBook Air 2020 hard case

I really liked that when you flush fit it into the MacBook it works as expected. It is smooth and close-fitting. The only problem is that if you use a hard case for your MacBook, you have to remove it to use this hub. This is a big minus if you bought a case to protect the machine. It is also difficult to constantly take the shell off and put it back on. Otherwise I would recommend it.

Ports not working well

I have a working MacBook Air that I need, usually HDMI/USB ports for my work. I ordered this dongle and while it looks good, my mouse, which is connected to the computer via a USB dongle, was not working properly. I've tried changing the mouse's battery to make sure this isn't the cause, but it looks like the connection isn't very good. Also, one of the USB-C ports doesn't work at all. Really annoying as I just ordered a Bluetooth mouse as I otherwise like the dongle, but then I found that one…

The first laptop I ordered didn't work properly with my 2017 MacBook Pro. Accordingly, I returned it.
