Good lock for new Mac Pro

Very secure lock for my Mac Pro. This locking system ensures that the back panel fits snugly against the outer case. It's so tight I thought it would scratch the record. But left no trace. It also fits perfectly with the power cord. A bit pricey but worth the money. Finally, the Mac Pro doesn't come cheap. I will not make it easy for anyone to take care of him.

Pros
  • Security trap for peripheral cables
Cons
  • Available in white only

No Hassle Security - Notebook Accessories

This is much better than the Apple OEM because I couldn't find a lock that would fit the Apple OEM (maybe , it's possible or was possible, but my Kensington lock definitely wouldn't fit despite an hour of trouble). Although I had to use a magnifying glass according to the instructions that come with this lock setup (for example, there is no PDF to zoom in to see the detail you want), it worked great. The only thing that could and should be better is the cable - it's rather thin. Thicker metalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Provides full protection for the device and its hardware components
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

It can be cut with strong scissors

The product has a good design and works as advertised. However, the security cable is too thin. You can cut it with strong scissors.

Pros
  • Protective case for peripheral cables
Cons
  • Difficult to tell

Late 2013 Mac Pro security cable

The whole system seems overdue. I found it a little difficult to insert two records. It's tight! The directions are a bit vague. Illustrations only (like a cartoon). I couldn't find a link to a video showing how to fit two bent metal plates into a $3,000 computer. It's clear that Apple hasn't thought about the security of this computing gem. I wouldn't call the locking system STRONG so I don't know how long it will take to break it. Most likely not for much longer. But that seems like the onlyโ€ฆ

  • Almost OK

but I couldn't find anything better on the market so I bought

I was skeptical after reading all the negative reviews but I couldn't find anything better on the market, so I bought it. I found the instructions to be perfectly clear and all the pieces fitted together nicely. It took me about 3 minutes to set everything up. The cable isn't indestructible, but it certainly can't break easily. In order to cut the cable, you need an above-average cable cutter.

Pros
  • Features 6ft cable lock
Cons
  • Mostly fine but...

Hassle-free security

This is way better than Apple's OEM lock because I couldn't find a lock that fits Apple's OEM lock (it might be possible, but my Kensington lock definitely doesn't quite fit, despite an hour Aggravation). Not exactly what is in the photo, flimsy and clumsy.

The parts are flimsy and look cheap - the photo shows a nice matte silver and you can see they fit together exactly without cheap plastic parts. When it arrived it was cheap, shiny, very thin metal with flimsy black plastic clips that weren't pictured at all and not only don't go together well, they just flap around and don't even really serve a purpose. . . The locking mechanism just hangs loosely in the holes, not tight at all, and the entire assembly looks like someone put it together atโ€ฆ
