They should not be missing in any shade tree welding truck.

For the DIY enthusiast, they are ideal for a variety of production needs. In the short time I've had them, I've used them to fasten body panels for tack welding, flat bar butt welding, and butt welding of steel pipe.

Pliers Great Locking Clamp / Vice Clamp

I'm not a welder but I DEFINITELY ran into the fact that I could use these pliers! I have the regular straight ones but with U split/double clamps on the end and a 1.25" excess to get in/around the L bracket or angle iron strips?!? YUP! They look like well made pliers. The rivets that hold the joints together are strong and tight with very little side play in them - the clamp ends move only 1/8 inch from side to side. Not the first, but a good second

On a scale of ten one of all the pliers on the market, especially in the "alternatives to well-known brands" price range this is the right seven. The moving parts have a bit more play than the most well-known manufacturers, adjustment isn't as smooth and the look and finish right down to the rivets just aren't what a top-of-the-line tool should be. But it's not a premium tool. That's pretty much the point of the product. But it works and will likely last for years with proper care. I love my…
