Because the grips rest on a small bone at the base of the skull that secures them, those of us with very small bones have difficulty with the standard grips, which are wide. The narrow strip easily fits under these small bones and stays there securely. No more detaching the wig and removing the wig, handle and cap in one movement. Excellent product does exactly what it promises. I wear it under my wig and it never slips back. It was a bit big even when adjusted to the smallest size, but when I put it on it didn't go away (I had it over my wig cap). I highly recommend it if you are having trouble with the wig falling back or anything else that helps. The product is very thin so it doesn't add volume to the wig.
