High grade steel 1045 carbon steel for a longer life. Self feed tip has a single spur to leave a cleaner entry and exit hole. Quick change 7/16-Inch hex shank for use in quick change chucks or standard chucks. self feeding screw point for faster hole starts and easier cutting. Machined on a center post for a stronger more rigid bit.

Much better than alternative big box brands

The Magbit brand bits that I have purchased are much better than the blue/yellow bits that you find in big box stores (and here at Revain ) receive. This guide is the point where the screw is the dead center of the drill. It's really annoying when others can't tell where your hole is going to go because it can be 1/8 inch in any direction. Nice tools and they don't really cost that much to get noticed.
