Not enough magnets in manual work

Great idea - place the part to be embroidered on the embroidery frame and fix it with magnets so that the embroidery machine embroiders the motif. The problem is that there are only 4 magnets. The magnets are heavy but only 4 if you use a 5x7 hoop the hoop is too big to only have 4 magnets. This item should not be sold with fewer than 6 magnets - you may even need 7-8 magnets. I messed up two projects because the magnets weren't enough to hold the fabric while embroidering.

The magnets are strong!

Yes, it will last. But it almost threw my car off track as you have to be very careful that the needle and (whatever you call that thing that's going up and down) aren't in the way, which is very easy to do. I want the magnets to be flat so they can move the tire in and out of the car more easily. Other than that (which ends up being a pain in the ass) he does what he has to do. I haven't used it as much as my other tires (I still find it easier to float on a regular tire than to maneuver…

  • Inspires trust
Cons
  • Out of fashion

The instructions supplied describe and show a picture of a tire with 4 mounting straps protruding. The 5 x 7 tire in the box does not have these placement aids. The instructions describe and show the stencil grid marked in both inches and cm. The supplied stencil grid is labeled in inches only. It also says there are 4 magnets and the kit comes with 6. I'll have to see if I can use that and overcome the lack of uneven placement. If I can't, I'll send this item back. At the same time I ordered a

You get what you paid for.

It worked great at first, I made some coasters out of it. Then I started working on picker towels. Each time the needle approached the magnet, the magnet was pulled from the hoop onto the needle. Also, when using appliqué, be careful when removing the embroidery frame from the machine. Again, the magnets fly off when he gets close to the needle. If your scissors get too close, they'll rip off the magnet instantly. I've lost a few projects because of not being able to reposition what I've been…
