Easy to use and has a really good strong magnet. Each "pen" holds multiple layers of paper. I would advise caution when attaching to any surface. They really "snap" to the surface. could chip the paint. But that's why I bought it. Durable holder for all metal surfaces (iron). Just be aware and control attachment to anything that might come loose. Highly recommended if used correctly. NO TOYS Keep out of the reach of small children.

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to write about this one because it exceeded my expectations. These are great little magnets, very strong and with a very nice metallic finish. I think the description said they could hold 5 pounds but I don't think that's correct. They are very magnetic, but not that magnetic. They're definitely ridiculously expensive, close to a dollar each, but I'll be buying a second pack.

First, these little magnets are the size of a pin. Based on the photos I thought they were bigger but they are called pin magnets so that's for sure! The biggest problem was the metal they were packaged in. We had to take an awl and hammer and destroy the tin to open it, so I wouldn't buy it unless you're up for it.

About the size of a plastic needle and needle and infinitely useful, these magnets are as strong as I had hoped. And "powerful" is the word, because nobody needs them. Ordered these magnets to help with an art project. I expected them to be good magnets and they are. HOWEVER, it took me FOREVER to open the small metal container. I have tried with my bare fingers, I have tried a rubber opener and I have NOT been able to open the small container. I FINALLY had to use a few different screwdrivers just to pry open the top. These magnetic needles are well made and feel solid. I wanted them to be used for hanging small items on my range hood like single cup teapots, heat pads etc rather than hanging papers on the fridge. Turns out they also work well for colanders, steamer racks, coasters, and more. (For larger items, I use magnetic swivel hooks.)
