Spices to extract on spice racks

I didn't like these spices in the fridge, I found them too deep. An inch deep and 2 inches wide would be great. I wanted to come back and my husband put a few pieces on the oven hood. The perfect place for all 12 people! Looks good and shouldn't leak. *Update** There's nothing better than Thanksgiving to look at the kitchen. Today, when I got serious about cooking on the stovetop and in the oven, I found that the spice jars on the oven hood get very hot. I haven't filled them yet so no damage…

Updated after 1.5 years

Updated after 1.5 years. I have them on the side of my refrigerator with a 3ft countertop and then on the stovetop. I just opened one that probably hadn't been opened in a year and it was rock hard and completely drained. I checked a few others that aren't used very often and were difficult as well. The lids don't close, neither do the small flaps. Not quite. I had already established that the windows were too large and the light was causing the visible spice to discolor and lose its potency…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Suitable for some spices. Not ideal for others.

Pros: The magnet on these things is very strong. The entire lid closes tightly. Holds a good amount of material. Makes some spices more accessible and frees up cabinet/counter space. Cons: The piece of plastic covering the spout doesn't fit the opening, making the seal very porous. When using finely ground spices, small pieces will fall out even if they are closed and even if they stick to the metal surface you stick them to. Conclusion: I would buy again, but only for coarsely chopped spices…

A small space spice box is a must to order

I was looking for a way to organize my spices in a small box next to the stove but most containers are round and closed big for the space These little beauties are 2 1/8" L x 2 1/8 W x 2 1/4" H and fit perfectly in my small drawer. The rounded edges of the square lenses make them easy to pull out when I need them. I used a chalk marker to mark them and make them easier to identify and I love how they look in the box. They are NOT sealed, but I don't mind. I use all of these spices just enough…

  • High test scores for hold and shelf life
Cons
  • So So

As spice jars they work well, as "magnetic" spice jars they don't really work unless they are half empty or you have a cover on the fridge (see photo) Video comparing three different fridge surfaces). Cons: Magnet isn't strong enough when jar is full (only stays in fridge when half empty). Shake can, not airtight - 1/12 can is a little rusty Pros - Shape: square, very compact - Easy pouring or sprinkling of spices, big plus as I don't want to unscrew the lid - Can match the contents of a…

Avoid 12 packs. Spend a few bucks more if needed and two packs of 6

I really like these but. Spend a few bucks more and two 6s if you need a large quantity. They appear to have been quality checked and better packaged. Update March 27, 2017 I have received my second 6 packs and my original estimate still stands. 6 pieces are well packaged, no kickbacks and dents. I even noticed that the transparent windows are covered with a thin protective film. This was not the case with PC 12. I have to say that one of the six slipped all over my fridge too easily. Upon…
