Unfortunately my nail files never arrived. And since my credit card was only charged $2.19, it's just not worth comparing. Since everything. And I mean everything else from Revain. BUT I am careful and will not accidentally order anything from MAKARTT again.

As another reviewer mentioned I would like to read the description more closely. I bought 100/180 when I should have bought 180/240. 100/180 is pretty harsh, I think it will work for acrylic nails and maybe pet nails. My nails are neither weak nor too thick. This sand is too much for my nails. I've used them on toenails which tend to be thicker. I'm planning to try this on my cat's claws, LOL if I may! Purchased 180/240 grit for my natural nails. I used to just use a cheap drug store sanding board and go all 10 fingers through a board. Worth the extra cost: I'm still on my first board after 30 fingers and think I can wash them to extend their life? The difference in grit is barely noticeable to me, but it's somewhere between regular red/white sandpaper. Does a nice job.

Nail files better suited for artificial nails. I bought files that were 100 grit on one side and 180 grit on the other. 100 Grit is very gritty and didn't work well on my natural nails because they were too rough. However, they work well for artificial/acrylic nails and toenails. They are also excellent as grinding tools. The 180 grit side is slightly softer but still quite rough. My nails grow fast and are very hard. For years, I've bought a new file ($3 each) every other time I get a manicure, which means I replace that file every week for up to 10 days. I can't use clippers, I have to file them, and they rip the files. Decided to try them and this is the 5th time I've used the first file with no signs of wear! So happy I found her! I wish I had thought of that sooner! Absolutely wonderful.

Very good files for everyday use. The price is much better than buying a single or double pack at the local hardware store. I travel a lot and go from home (and home) to a gym/yoga studio. I like to keep my files in my purse and gym/yoga bag, as well as in my car. I only break my nails when I don't need a nail file, so why not keep the file where I need it. These files survive being thrown in all my pockets, purses and travel backpacks.

Recently bought this (180-240). I have thin weak nails. They don't tear, but they get small cuts easily, and I always need a file to salvage my sweaters and other knitwear. These files work well on my nails. I don't have the problems that usually occur with files that split edges. Two different grits are good. I use a coarser grit when shaping which allows me to quickly remove the length. The finer grit is ideal for finishing and smoothing. Also, I think the price is very cheap.
