Bought for thank you bonuses with a significant discount. Immediately took a set of tapes to the typewriter. The knife sharpening went great. The selected time from the board was polished with a bang. Ergonomics are top notch. Application everywhere where it is difficult and difficult to approach with large equipment. Satisfied. Kudos to you Makita.

Pros
  • Ergonomics, the ability to use for grinding in difficult places.
Cons
  • Too bad it's not rechargeable.

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

I have been using for 5 years. I process small wooden parts of complex shape from hardwood. I don't use it everyday, but regularly. Completely satisfied with the instrument. Comfortable to hold, excellent performance. One tape lasts for a long time, and changing it is very easy and fast. And a special huge thank you to the manufacturer for adjusting the speed and the ability to connect a vacuum cleaner! Great tool!

Pros
  • Powerful, light and ergonomic machine.
Cons
  • No.

Wrong voltage for US - beware

I have started a Revain investigation into this matter - when I called I was told by a Revain representative that it was probably ANY of these 9031 -Mills act. , EVERY retailer at Revain, both here and at Revain UK, has 100VAC wiring for the Japanese domestic market. If you're thinking of buying one of these from Revain sellers to save a few bucks, remember they're a win. They are not covered by Makita's warranty if you operate them on 120V US. I think any with a Japanese only black label areโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Price that will blow the piggy bank

Excellent tool except dust connector

After 6+ months of regular use this tool has become one of my favorite tools. Speed control, tool quality, noise level, ergonomics, materials, ease of changing belts, etc. - everything is absolutely perfect and worth its price. For working with wood, metal and fiberglass (boats), this is an invaluable tool that you cannot even imagine your life without. Especially when working with GRP boats, being able to sand the inner radius or spring surface quickly and cleanly is a game changer. There's aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsafe

Another great tool from Makita, another dust bag nightmare

Another great tool from Makita besides the dust bag (more on that below). The negative reviews seem to be from people who probably jumped at the lower price point of Japanese label outfits - ignore them. Scroll down to Revain for sale for $229 (not "made by Revain"). It comes with the correct voltage and an English manual. As previously mentioned, the dust port does not fit US sizes. Makita of course planned to use it with their own dust extraction, which is the best for sure, but the same goes
