Manchester Tank S33250: Durable Plastic POL Plug for Propane Gas Tanks Review

Difficult to screw onto the tank. Remember this is a left hand thread. I think there must be a simpler thread design that works better. I doubt it will really do anything once installed on the tank. I won't buy any other.

I have the part number for this style of propane gas cap that I wanted to replace simply due to age. I ordered 3 of these and two of them crossed on the first try to use them. I think the problem is that they are a bit small and made of very soft plastic. Although this product says "Manchester" none of my Manchester tanks would accept them. Unfortunately, I would look elsewhere for one of these connectors.

Purchased to protect the propane tank outlet from bug nests when not connected to the RV water supply hose. It's fine for the purpose, but the fit of the protector is a bit sloppy, so you have to be careful when rubbing it into the propane tank's outlet valve to avoid screwing the soft plastic plug onto the tank's sharp metal threads. Remember that the steps are the "right hand" [opposite of the usual "right-tight" rule] on propane tank valves, roughly. All the best.

I was looking forward to an extra level of security when transporting my 20# tanks. Saw these and bought two. Unfortunately, the threads don't seem to line up with the threads in the tank, and even after very careful aiming, it doesn't go straight. I'm still looking for a replacement option but this seems like the best option available on Revain. I would like to give a 5 star rating as otherwise they seem very well designed - just don't work properly.

This plug will not screw properly. Even if thoughtfully, carefully, meticulously, many gentle attempts began. Every time it goes wrong even though the threads look ok. I'm also concerned that if he screws it in properly he might press on the safety valve inside which could pose a safety issue if the reservoir valve isn't fully closed. I do not recommend anyone to buy this product.

Read the reviews (most say it's bad) but there was one that worked (and great) with a Manchester 100# cylinder/valve worked). So figured others might not have Manchester tanks/valves. I have 3 other tanks/valves from Manchester so figured they would suit me fine. Not so. Same issue with cross-threads that others have reported. The worst thing is if you touch them most of the time they will catch on something and cause the valve to leak a little. I will turn back. and call manchester to find out

Doesn't fit. I have used POL threaded propane for many years. This connector just doesn't fit. It crosses threads easily and is small, making it difficult or impossible to make gas tight.
