It works well for me when I switch 1 monitor between 2 computers. The only confusing issue was dumb but almost made me return it without opening the box. The photo on the front of the box it came in shows a block marked the wrong way: 2 outs with 1 in, possibly because someone didn't speak English well. The device inside was correct.

This unit was assembled in a few days. So far it has worked very well. Use this switch to allow the same monitor to be used with two different desktops. I had to buy some cables. It's the same size as the old derailleurs I've been using for a while, except it's not as big. (I have an old junction box and cables for VGA. Obviously they don't match DVI.) Now the question is. how long will they last So far, so good.

I bought this about 16 months ago. Easy to connect and has worked great so far. I didn't like it. I tried several known good cables and made sure they all worked when plugged directly into my monitor, so it wasn't a problem with my bad cable.
