perfect chair for camping, fishing, or at the beach!

I go fishing with my kids often during the summer and I have a tiny folding chair for fishing, which does not have have a back support. It's not comfortable but it provides a place for me to sit and it's small when packed. We also go camping with our friend's family in the summer and my friend brought this MARCHWAY folding chair to the camping and I just had to buy it for myself after I tried sitting on his chair. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought 3 of them in different colors for…

Pros
  • The MARCHWAY Lightweight Folding Camping Chair is incredibly versatile and can be used for a variety of outdoor activities including camping, hiking, picnics, festivals, and beach trips
Cons
  • The chair is not very stable on uneven terrain, leading to accidents and injuries

Concert In The Park Must-Have!

I live in a small town where they offer free summer concerts in the park. I've hesitated going knowing I didn't have anything comfortable to sit on until now! When I saw this chair I knew it was what I needed. It's sleek design, height, and portability made this the perfect choice for me. I'm an older lady and knew I couldn't lug around anything too heavy. I also needed something that would be high enough from the ground that I wouldn't have issues getting up from and down into. This chair is…

Pros
  • My girlfriends favorite portable chair!
Cons
  • The chair isn't very adjustable, making it uncomfortable for people of different heights or sizes

A great lightweight camping chair

This camp chair is perfect for taking along on that hiking or camping trip where you don't want to lug around heavy equipment. It easily folds out of the pouch and the legs pop together via tough inner nylon cords. The aluminum legs are thicker than similar chairs I've had and seem like they will hold up for a long time. The pouch itself is made of quality materials and the zipper is pretty heavy duty. This is a great chair to strap onto the back of my kayak and take out for picnics along the…

You don't want to spend a fortune on a Helinox Chair?

Well, don't! Get this one! But know this:It won't be as light, or as sturdy, or as comfortable. What it WILL be is a fine chair that will hopefully last a while, that is slightly larger when packed, and heavier, but is 1/3rd the cost.I can't speak to the durability, but I and 5 of my friends go camping all the time and have for decades. One of them bought the Helinox. The others bought different knock-offs. REI, LL Bean, and then two bought generic brands.4-5 years in, Helinox is good as new…

Pros
  • Its lightweight design makes it highly portable, allowing you to easily carry it wherever you go
Cons
  • The chair is not very user-friendly, with confusing instructions and difficult-to-use features

Lightweight, compact, easy to set up, and comfortable

I love this convenient little camping chair. It sets up in about a minute. All the aluminum poles are connected by shock cords so there’s no way you can assemble it incorrectly. Just straighten out a section and the elastic cord pulls it into place. The canvas seat has little reinforced pockets in the corners that slide over the ends of the poles. But before you slide it on, attach the carry bag to the chair frame by sliding a loop or two over one of the frame pieces. This will provide some…

Pros
  • Very lightweight, easy set up/takedown. Portable and is comfortable
Cons
  • The chair is not very ergonomic, causing discomfort and back pain after prolonged use

Great alternative to bulky chairs

They take a little longer to deploy and put away, but when you can carry 3 of these in the basket under a stroller it makes outings very convenient. Plus, it's fun to watch people struggle to carry 2 or 3 giant chairs while you pull out these compact chairs, and the only real difference is no cupholder - but my Yeti doesnt fit in cupholders anyway!

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The chair is not very weather-resistant, making it unsuitable for use in rainy or humid conditions

Cool chair! Lightweight.

This chair is pretty cool. When I opened the box I couldn’t believe that this was the chair I ordered. It was in such a small carrying bag and weighed practically nothing. My husband has a similar name brand chair and I would say this isn’t as high quality as that popular name brand but it felt sturdy, secure and looked great. For the difference in price I would definitely go this route. It would be great for taking the kids sports or hiking because so light and compact.

Pros
  • Camping & Hiking
Cons
  • The chair is not very compact, taking up a lot of space when stored or transported

Good chair, a little work to get the cover on

The chair is nice and well thought out. I have a similar chair from another brand which folds up slightly differently and doesn't have a pocket. This chair is a little hard to get the cover stretched out on the 4 posts, especially the last one. My other chair is much easier to put together. This one has a few nice features the other chair does not, like the two loops on the bag so it can fit on the chair, and two streps to help keep the poles together when packing it up.

Pros
  • The chair is easy to set up and can be assembled in a matter of minutes, allowing you to quickly get on with enjoying your outdoor activities
Cons
  • The chair is not very adjustable for different sitting positions, leading to discomfort and cramping

Super light chair but you’ll wrestle with it

This is easily the lightest folding chair I’ve ever held. After using it for a bit, here are my thoughts:Pros -- Super light and folds up into a small pouch that can be taken just about anywhere- Really comfortable! Considering how small it is, I was surprised at how small it was- Frame sets up quickly- Good value for priceCons -- Be ready to wrestle to get the fabric onto the frame. You’ll need some muscles to get that last corner on- It’s quite low to the ground; if you have bad knees or…

Pros
  • The breathable mesh material used in the construction of the chair keeps you cool and comfortable even in hot weather conditions
Cons
  • The chair is not very comfortable for extended periods of use, leading to soreness and fatigue

I commend Marchway for designing a new chair style. There is a very common style on the market, and then there is the newer "square" frame. This is in between, as a triangular frame. Unfortunately, this frame style is still pretty bulky and maybe a teeny bit heavy (compared to other backpacking chairs; it's still ridiculously small and light for a general "camping" chair). I have a similarly-priced chair that I take backpacking with me that is under 2lbs and packs up drastically smaller than…

Pros
  • Is lightweight good construction
Cons
  • The fabric of the chair is not very sturdy, leading to wear and tear after only a few uses

Comfy, light weight. Does not pop up.

Super lightweight chair that is comfy for the beach or camping. It does take a bit to put together, not one of those fluck your wrist and it pops up. I'm not sure I want to rebuild it each time, good thing my kid loves it!

Pros
  • The MARCHWAY Lightweight Folding Camping Chair is affordably priced, making it a great value choice for those seeking a high-quality camping chair on a budget
Cons
  • The chair is not very stylish, with a plain and unremarkable appearance

Comfortable - my new review

So first it's really light weight. Second it's really easy to put together. From the time I got it and had it set up was about 45 seconds. As far as this lasting a long time I say yes as long as it's not abused I don't think it would take too much abuse

Pros
  • The chair has a stable and sturdy construction, providing you with a comfortable and secure seating experience
Cons
  • The chair is not very secure, with flimsy straps and weak connections

Handy Portable Chair

Pros:*fairly lightweight*quick and easy to assemble*comfortable*compactI would not want to carry this chair on a long hike. However, I like to keep it in the back of my car for park days with friends. It took a couple times to really get the hang of assembly and packing it. Now it’s a breeze. I plan to replace our other "bag chairs” with these.

Pros
  • Great, sturdy chair and the price is very reasonable
Cons
  • The chair is not very stable, leading to accidents and injuries

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty sturdy in my review

Putting together the chair wasn't hard. The seat material is made of some kind of canvas, feels very supportive. My husband was able to wiggle in the chair without being able to tip it over. Breaking it down is okay but I'm afraid stretching out the bands will eventually break it.

Pros
  • Chairs
Cons
  • The chair is not very easy to assemble, leading to frustration and wasted time

Not for backpacking, but still a good car camping chair.

Pros:- comfortable- unique frame design compared to the dozens of these type of chairs on amazon.- The velcro straps make it a lot easier to fold up the frame.Cons:- it's way too big and heavy for backpacking. This is a chair for car camping.

Pros
  • Outdoor Recreation
Cons
  • The chair is not very affordable, making it a prohibitive expense for some buyers
