🏊 Rash Guard for Men by Mares Review

This is a regular rashguard with which I have had no problems. What I didn't like was that the side in the picture was white. It's actually grey. Not what I wanted but would recommend.

They fit as expected, they hold up in the water and on land. My only concern is that I'm not 100% drawstring, it works, but I'm just not a big fan.

These dive shorts make it easy to get in and out of your wetsuit. They are very comfortable and have a precise fit, but you will appreciate them as soon as you put on or take off your wetsuit. Yes, spandex is a privilege, not a prohibition, but I absolutely love them and plan on buying a few more. I would recommend them to anyone who loves diving!

Loved these on safari dives in Thailand and Burma. They added warmth, protection from chafing and just enough modesty that I could remove my wet gear after a dive without having to deal with towels and the like. I'm not sure I would hang around in them for too long, but it was enough to make me comfortable. Also, they dry out pretty quickly, so you don't have to wear wet shorts every dive.

Fits true to size. The average size is perfect for a 33" waist, 5'10" tall and weight 168 lbs. wetsuit and don't cause any discomfort (I don't even know they are there). Previous reviews mentioned a short lacing, this seems to have been fixed as I had a longer length. The hole is small but makes it easier to attach a cable lock. Before installing the cord, I worked with a simple hand knot.

Good shorts so far (few weeks), 15% elastane breaks in chlorine baths. I wear shirts (of the same brand) 3 times a week and need to be changed every 4-6 months (they loosen up, some like it, I don't). BUT I will buy another pair when they stop sleeping. which brings me to the shoelace. It's a string and it comes out easily. Every time I wash/dry them the rope comes out after the cycle. The thread doesn't last long.

I have two issues with these shorts, the waistband is not elastic or the elastic drawstring which is what makes this style of shorts the fit feel worse. Also, instead of other options, I specifically bought these shorts so the color matched the shirt. Despite the white color on the sides of the shorts, the pair I received are black and gray and the shirt is black and white equal areas, that's the shirt. Picture two together do not look matching. The first impression after two dives under my wetsuit is very good. They sit well on me, but ideally I'd like it a little tighter; I bought a medium size for my 31" waist (I'm 5'10, 160 lbs). The thickness of the material is just right for a wetsuit, and the fabric is heavier (which is a good thing) than the UnderArmor shorts I've used (for lack of anything better). The drawstring is too easy to pull out in the wash, but luckily it can be reinserted with minimal effort. Happy to finally find…
