What a deal - perfect fit

Purchased a size 4-5 for my daughter. She is 11 years old and wears 4.5 inch tennis shoes. Goes perfectly with a pair of 3mm socks. They are light and yet offer enough power to dive for hours without tiring.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Minor issues

Good fins but sizing recommendations didn't fit me

I wear women's sizes 8-8.5. Judging by the ratings and sizing grid, I went for men's 40/41 / women's 6 1/2 -7 1/2. Unfortunately they were too big and I had to send them back. They looked like big fins.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Great fin but size

work GREAT! However, they are very large and both my wife and I had to make the fins much smaller. Actually, sizes none of us have worn since high school. Again, great fin, doesn't slip, maneuvers easily and drives you well.

Pros
  • good item
Cons
  • crumpled packaging

The size is a bit off but they are comfortable

These fins are very flexible. So if you are looking for a soft fin, this is good. I wear size 8.5. I have size 8-9. My leg is dangling in the binding. So I used a very thin bootie to fill out the mount.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Weight

The Best Fins on Scuba Fins

I am a certified Open Water Diver but I bought these closed heel fins for tropical diving. They're big, but surprisingly light and easy to pack. They're really big so you can really zoom out. Maybe to allow for a thin dive sock? Anyway they are so comfortable for my feet. I have bursitis and the like and pain in ski boots and hiking boots which is just about tolerable but no pain in those long snorkel fins for an hour or more. I mean zero. It's good to move through the water without straining…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Empty

Fantastic fins for warm water diving and snorkeling.

I bought this pair for my husband because I love Volo fins myself. I have both adjustable (used with dive boots) and full foot volo racing fins and love them. They are light and easy to pedal and also offer excellent traction. They significantly reduced the load on the legs and knees, and also made it easier to overcome moderate currents. My husband used them for scuba diving and snorkeling on our recent trip to Thailand. He was very impressed and loves them a lot more than our old heavy fins…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some little things

Amazing lightweight fins

I'm so glad I spent a little more money than I wanted on a new pair of snorkel fins! I live in Maui and was dying to upgrade my short, heavy snorkel fins with an adjustable heel strap. These Mares fins are amazing! I've used them about 10 times in the last month and am very happy with my purchase. I suddenly had knee pain when using my old fins, so far my knees are loving these fins (knock on wood). I wear size 7 or 7.5 women's shoes and size 5-6 fits perfectly in these fins. I also wear thin…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Best full size fins I've tried

Without a doubt the best full size diving fins I've used and snorkeled since childhood. Two decades ago I gave up on composite fins because they never had the stiffness I needed. There was always a feeling that wooden oars were attached to the legs. Too much stiffness and will hurt the ankles, knees and feet. Things have come a long way. They're almost as comfortable as old-school rubber fins, but with a lot more power. I'm snorkeling in a fast-flowing river and I need to hit my target quickly…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Problems
