Marina Decor Polyresin Cave Large Review

Dimensions are not correct. It's the same size as a 5 pound sack of flour turned on its side. A lot of material is used, so it is strong, but not brick. The color variation is successful. The ends of the plants stick out about half an inch but are well flanked and covered.

There are many reviews but few photos so I decided to post some of them to help others. The first picture is a decoration compared to my 20 gallon, the second is compared to my 10 gallon. Pros: Good size for my long 20 gallon tank. Looks natural and I'm happy with the style of the plants. Looks the same as in the picture. Cons: Sharp edges that I would have to grind down to keep my fish safe. Plants don't stick to the best, so be careful with them.

After reading all the reviews and considering all the negative things about this product, I decided to buy it anyway because I liked everything else about it. Yes the plants looked cheap and there were extra strands of glue, the plants were either not glued very well or had a huge bead of glue glued over them. Although the size is fantastic and the painting and color work is as pictured, the quality is TERRIBLE. One plant wasn't even attached and the other two are very loose. There are large drops of glue around the plants, and the plants themselves have sharp edges. Not safe for roosters. I didn't care, I wanted to swap them anyway. What worries me the most is not only that all of the edges on the cave itself are sharp, but also that part of it was obviously chipped off and carelessly repaired…

Love it and my fish too! I have two pearl gourami and they are still quite shy. I thought I had enough hiding places for them but I thought they would really enjoy the cave. Googled it, found it and decided to take it. I'm so glad I did. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but fits my 50 gallons just fine. I have a 60 gallon community aquarium that needed natural rocks/shelters. I argued between medium and large, but in the end I went for large. It's huge.
