If you're trying to fit a lot of filters into a small space, these beads are for you. A handful of them replace so many other bulky biomedia. Water flows through them very efficiently. There is enough in this box to fill a single 8 ounce cup to give an idea of size/quantity.

This is the perfect nano aquarium solution, I use 2 packs in my evo 13.5 and it will be more than enough for my nano reef bioload. There about a dime almost like a ball but not round if that makes sense and they seem to be holding up well and not falling apart like other brands. I ordered these because I figured my filter had gaps with balls to fill in. I knew they were smaller, but not that small and not that small.
