Worked as advertised

Easy to adjust, no special tools required, snaps onto both motors at the same time and works flawlessly. I used it on a 40hp Mercury. with 4 hp kicker

Pros
  • is clear for the old
Cons
  • The list is growing.

Great product and easy to install

I have purchased several of these additional outboard steering kits and have found them to be excellent quality and easy to install

Pros
  • I have been looking forward to this for a long time

Makes it a lot easier. Maybe a little trick.

Makes it so much easier. It may require a bit of tweaking to fit your application, but most of the parts you'll need are already included in the kit.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin

I like the quick release ones that you can take off at any time.

Just what I needed to tie my kicker motor steering to my main motor. I like the quick release endings that can be removed if I want to troll. Get the stainless steel version if you swim in salt water.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Almost never

Everything as expected

The item arrived in just a day or so. There were several different mounting options so I could make it fit to run a 5hp kicker. from 50 strong. I had to shorten the stem by six centimetres. I've used a single blade jigsaw to cut metal with no problems.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Works but rusted on spares

I installed it on my boat fairly easily but after a season the main shaft rusted. I wonder if I should have done something with it but thought it would be a little more stable. I don't know if I'll get the same or buy something else to fix my assisted steering issue.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulties
