We love it for clocks

I love this clock it has the original version and I bought it for another room it's great and the sound is nice it doesn't charge very well. I think it's right, some people might prefer a louder volume, I think if there was a volume button that the user could adjust that would be great. but it's still a great watch and I highly recommend it, I've had the original version for over three years and it's still ticking and the birds and singing :-)

Pros
  • yearly test
Cons
  • reliability

Disappointment: Watch

I bought this watch to replace a similar one that after 10 years is no longer keeping accurate time. The original clock was sung by birds common in the area (New England) which appeared to be from records, was recognizable and pleasing to the ear. The new clock makes seemingly digitally generated bird sounds squeaky, unnatural and annoying. I would not recommend this watch to those looking for pleasant bird song.

I like the smaller size

I bought the larger version of this watch and returned it because the plastic on the back of the watch was so crappy and thin that the watch hands got stuck on the front. I love the smaller size. Sturdy, keeps time great, forearms work just right and I love the bird call on this one. When the light source in the room is low, the sounds of the birds will be quieter. Bird sounds are beautiful and charming. Keeps me up to date on the past hours without bugging me. Happy with this watch.

Stopped working after 7 months.

Bought this watch for my dad in March and he loves it. It is now October (it is only 7 months old and the seconds hand is stuck and not moving making the watch unusable now. Very disappointing. We don't know how to fix this. I would like to contact the company to sort this out a refund or replacement and will do so.I hope they work with me.**UPDATE - I contacted the company and they refused to take back the product and NOT EVEN REPLACEMENT!What extreme poverty.I would advise anyone , not for…

  • The cord is shorter than others

My grandmother gave me a version of this clock with birds in the last century and she finally died two months ago. Being a sentimental soul, I knew my family needed someone else. (I know what I'll get the kids when they finally leave the house. It's a tradition lol.) This watch is cute even though it's plastic. The green running down the sides has an attractive matte finish. I like that the choice of birds is not always predictable. There is a red-winged thrush (or is it a tricolor?) as well as

Attractive wall clock with birdsong

We bought this clock to hang in the garden of our new house. It is attractive and the bird calls at the beginning of each hour are synchronized with the bird calls depicted on the dial. without listening, you may not notice them. But it's a nice feature that gives an audible cue every hour without being as obvious or intrusive as many clocks that chime. All watches use what I consider universal movement and I expect them to keep accurate time. Battery life is also determined. As we have been…

The volume correlates with the brightness of your lights

Still going strong after a few years. We love the pleasant bird calls that can be heard throughout the day! I wanted to address one of the issues that, as far as I recall, were raised. There were those who complained that the birds' calls were too loud and those who complained that they were too quiet. Well, that's completely contradictory, so what is it? I've learned by taking it to a few different places during the time we've had it and watching it at different times of the day that the…

HOW TO CHECK BIRD AUDIO ON YOUR WATCH

No battery covers? Not 5 stars. (That was easy.) To test your watch for bird calls: Insert three batteries. Expose the watch to direct sunlight. Slowly turn the time to the top of the hour and listen to the bird call. Some chirp twice, some three times. In direct sunlight, keep turning the clock until you reach the end of the next hour. Hear the bird call. Repeat this until you reach the end of the next hour and hear a bird call. The clock has a light sensor just above "12". When the light is…
